FARMINGTON INVITE With the Farmington Invite scheduled for Monday getting postponed until Tuesday due to wet grounds and rain, the Rebels Cross Country teams made the Tuesday trip to Farmington and had a strong showing. The Rebel Girls finished 2nd in the Girls team race and the Boys finished 3rd in the Boys team race. In the Girls race, the Rebels Olivia Frail was the overall champion with a winning time of 19:05. Freshmen Ashley Orrick (21:31 - 11th place) was the 2nd Rebel to finish followed closely by Josie Price (21:42 - 13th). Rounding out the Rebels top five scorers were Trinity Shimmin (23:01 - 20th) and Lena Becker (23:38 - 23rd). Alyssa Dyken (23:44 - 25th), Sarah Fairfield (26:33 - 40th) and Emily Orrick (28:06 - 44th) were the other three Rebels Girls participating in the race. Ashley, Alyssa and Emily were all running their first cross country race. In the Boys race, Senior Riley Down (18:06 - 7th) led the way for the Rebels. Freshmen Alex Welch (18:37 - 13th) was next to finish followed by Dawson Dyken (19:30 - 20th), Payton Stahl (20:16 - 28th), Colby Carroll (22:12 - 41st), Jack Winans (22:17 - 42nd), Caden Daum (22:21 - 43rd), Chris Roark (25:40 - 57th) and Brett Browning (26:27 - 59th). Alex, Payton, Colby, Jack and Chris were all running their first cross country race. There was 58 Girl finishers and 66 Boys finishers. Both Olivia and Riley times were the fastest times ever by a Rebel Girl or Boy. Congratulation to all the Rebel runners on a great opening race!!!
